The FCDO says the situation in the Middle East remains unpredictable. Since 8 July 2026, Iran has carried out strikes and retaliatory attacks in a number of places across the region, against US military and civilian infrastructure, and there is a risk of more attacks and unforeseen escalation. Before the ceasefire, Iran said it would target places linked to the US and Israel, including businesses and institutions. British nationals in the region should be prepared for possible flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures and potential travel disruption. The FCDO’s warnings for the UAE have the full notice.
The FCDO says terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks in the UAE, and that no travel can be guaranteed safe.
Read the FCDO travel advice for the UAE before you book. The FCDO does not currently advise against travel to the UAE. The advice changes, so read it again before you fly.
