The EU’s Entry/Exit System started on 12 October 2025. The FCDO says Greek authorities have indicated they will not take fingerprints or photos from UK travellers under EES. Follow what officers tell you at the border, and be prepared to wait longer than usual there. The FCDO’s Greece entry page has the details.

You may be asked to show a return or onward ticket and that you have enough money for your stay.
Read the FCDO travel advice for Greece before you book. It says there is a high risk of wildfires in the summer season, from April to October. The advice changes, so read it again before you fly.
